In the Disney Imagination Campus’ leadership development program, students will get a unique opportunity to realize their potential by interacting with Disney leaders, engaging in leadership activities and experiencing fun, hands-on learning. The leadership workshops we offer are an extraordinary way for students to learn effective communication, critical thinking and the art of innovation. In them, they will explore the Disney Way, which includes the belief that everyone can be a leader. Plus, they’ll learn about the importance of Disney’s 5 Keys of Excellence—principles that guide Disney Cast Members in everything they do.
Students will experience the real-world application of these principles by encountering problem-solving scenarios—and will discover their own personal leadership style.
Teamwork is the cornerstone of how we achieve success at Disney. To help students discover the value of team building, we offer teamwork workshops that teach collaboration skills.
Cast Members working together towards a common goal is the key to our success. This spirit of shared vision, collaboration and teamwork can be observed throughout The Walt Disney Company and in every aspect of our Disney theme parks—with Cast Members creating magic for our Guests every day.
In Disney Imagination Campus’ collaborative classroom filled with team-building activities, students will learn the Disney philosophy and strategies behind our high-performing teams. They’ll experience firsthand how collaboration and communication skills can enable any team to overcome obstacles and achieve their ultimate goals.
In the Theme Park Design Workshop, discover how Disney Imagineers marry imaginative vision and large-scale functionality. Uncover the concepts, philosophy and tools they consider necessary to make premier theme parks tick. Students will be taught valuable lessons in this special design workshop that could help them advance toward their goals, whether they’re attending for themed entertainment design studies or project management training—or even to find out how to become a Disney Imagineer!
From visual design elements to practical considerations—including the flow and maintenance of attractions—students will gain a holistic understanding of how form and function come together to make the seemingly impossible… possible!
What would you get if you took a science field trip to Disney Parks?
You’d get a technology workshop, an engineering workshop and a STEM workshop all rolled into one! In the unique Technology of Disney Parks Workshop, students will learn how Disney stories are central to everything in Disney Parks and get an inside look at how Disney Imagineers dream, design and use technology and engineering to immerse Guests in those stories. From Audio-Animatronics to light and sound effects and more, students will learn why technology is the most valuable as well as the most challenging tool used in theme park operations every day.
Students will be working with Disney Cast Members in Disney Parks to develop essential leadership, and inter-personal skills and competencies related to language and CCQ courses.
After completing 4 Leadership workshops in WDW theme parks; students will be able to:
Know their own leadership style and continue to develop their personal leadership skills
Describe and analyze the relationship between team excellence, customer satisfaction and business results
Engage with various partners to problem-solve through collaboration
Discuss the importance of diversity when assembling a team
Understand the value of a positive attitude when faced with any challenge in their personal development
Discover the Disney 5 Keys of Excellence and how these impact a large organization’s ability to quickly solve problems
Students will enhance their understanding of community and culture, communication skills, creative and complex thinking as they work in collaboration with a diverse team.
